Question Rubber Roof has bubbles in it

I just took delivery on my unit. When I went up to check the roof at the dealership they told me that the bubbles in the rubber roof were normal. Its almost like the didn't get the rubber roof taught when they fastened it. This does not seems to be the case after reading some of the posts on the internet. I called Jayco and they told me that it was normal but to send them some pictures for them to access the situation. Does anyone have experience with this? I'll post some pictures tomorrow when I can run over to the storage facility and check it out.

Had some in mine after a repair. They went away when it warmed up.

Good to know. I'll wait it out. It does not leak and as long as it stays that way I don't care what the roof looks like.

About all rubber roofs will have some bubbles. I just keep a eye on them just to be sure they don't start getting bigger.

Mine's a 2010 and I wouldn't call them bubbles but it kind of looks and feels like water blisters that move around a little but NOT water just air.

My X20E has what looks like loose rubber (bubbles) and Jayco told me it was normal as well. So long and you don't snag on a branch, which could happen anyway, I don't see a problem with it.

Ours has one on the top of the slide out. Dealer said the same thing about it not hurting any thing as long as it doesn't get worse. I asked for some documentation about what they told me and were happy to supply it. This, being where the slide seals will rub it when opening and closing, I'm going to keep an eye on it.

if it doesn't leak you should be ok. but as for not being concerned what the "roof looks like" remember that the roof is where the majority of water issues start on travel trailers. Be sure to keep it clean and sealed!

Well, I went out to the camper tonight and got on the roof to take pictures of the bubbles. Low and behold they were gone. There were a few small ripples but the rubber roof looked like it had tightened up. I guess the weather does make a difference.... I'm going to keep an eye on it.

Cleaning off the roof after this weekend's trip, I noticed air bubbles on top of the slide as well. Will have to monitor it.
