Run the furnace with the AC shroud covered?

I have a Bullet 248RKS but I need to tap into the Jayco experts. The AC shroud has a cover on it for winter. The system is ducted. I turned on the furnace and it was not getting hot but it was blowing out of the ducts. I went outside and checked the shroud and it was “sucked in.” So, is it not proper to run the furnace with the AC shroud covered???

That's weird. I wonder, is that AC unit a heat pump? Does it have a heat strip?

In anything I've dealt with, the furnace is/was a completely separate system from the AC. Only the thermostat is common. That's ducting, blowers, everything...

Is the fan switch set to "Auto"?

Camper Bob and Route 66: The furnace runs with propane. The thermostat is set to auto with heat set point at 62F and Air conditioning set point at 75F It was 17 degrees this morning...

Was it blowing out of both the AC ducts in the ceiling, and the heat registers in the floor? Have you recently changed the thermostat? If the thermostat is set to "Heat" and "Auto" the AC should not be running and the only blowing air should be coming out of the heat registers.

My son found the problem, it was an operator error. there is a function on the thermostat to shut off the air conditioner fan to keep it from operating when the tt is running on 110 volts genny or plugged in. The furnace fan and its fan was operating like it was supposed to. There are no heat ducts on our tt just air conditioning ducts.

To all: Thanks for the help. The fan shown on the thermostat needs to be off when running the furnace. It also needs to be off when the AC shroud has a cover on it because outside air is drawn into the shroud. With my unit, the cold air is through the ceiling vents and the furnace through the lower ones.
