Some people just take a short piece of wire and jumper pins 4 (12V) and 3 (tail/running lights) on the 7 pin connector. If you really want brake lights also, then jumper 12V to pins 5 and 6 also (on 7 pin connector).

Can I make a suggestion - instead of a jumper wire just take a 5 amp fuse, bend the blades a bit, and stick it on in. That way if there is a problem you pop the fuse instead of something more serious.

I used a fuse and just bent the blades to make it fit. Works great!

I bought an extra vehicle side receptacle and hard wired the correct poles together.

I did the same thing. Cheap, easy and small enough to slip in your pocket.

If you want flashing effects, get a 2 pole flasher at any auto parts store for a few bucks.

I bought a bunch of flashers and handed them out to our camping group. Cool effect seeing 20+ campers flashing! No pun intended.:hihi:

I used one of these with a 15 amp fuse.

Put round closed end connectors on the end after twisting them a little to make them fit in the slots better. If anyone has a better idea of what to put on the end of the wire to make the connections more snug im all ears....... or eyes.
