Yep, entertaining. Just like someone driving in at 10pm on a loud motorcycle!

A lot of weekend campers love this type of display, along with hundreds of led lights on the ground. Me, not so much, especially if they are right next to me.

While outside at night, it's not too big of a deal. Loud noises are worse than the lights. While inside, the blackout roller shades work great! Helps you sleep in, too! Now as far as noise coming inside, well... ;-)

Agree. Some trailers look like an arcade game at a county fair.

to those of you who disagree with having the marker lights on. i pose this question to you because my trailer is set up this way. would you rather see amber and red lights or my bright white awning light? i ask because all i have is the awning light for outside lights. why couldn't they have put a light by the door or make a separate switch for the amber light under the steps i'll never know? don't get me wrong i like a dark campsite with a fire or candles but if you leave during the day and come back at night it's better than nothing

Ya, add more lights in the name of safety or annoyance. Really enjoy the blue or white bright LEDs on the front of fifth wheels on all night. The LED patio lights. The LED rope lights on the ground for what reason.

I'm sure this video fixes that myth. The same reason people leave their hood up.

For sometime they did put an amber light near the door and under the steps. Out 23B is this way.

Rats don't seem to mind daylight, so a light shouldn't bother them either.
I put a lariat around my sleeping bag to keep the snakes away, too....

I hike 3/4 of a mile thru the woods 2 hours before sun up every deer season. You should be able to make it 20 feet in the dark from tv to tt.
Maybe a couple of solar puck lites will do the job.

My rule of thumb.
I don't want to share the lights, sounds, and smells of my campground and please don't share yours.

Interesting opinions.
That said:
I never thought of being able to turn on the trailer lights on the side of the road. Guess I was thinking truck would be attached. But now I can see that having the ability to blink the trailer running lights while I take off to get a part or something would be an excellent safety factor for the trailer and the idiots driving by who need glasses!

I have only done it while hooked up to the TV. I just disconnect the 7 pin, and slip in the heavy duty flasher.
A number of years ago, my brother blew a tire on his PU. Major freeway interchange (I-35E & I-94), that was all torn up. Miraculously the shoulder in that area was not blocked off. The spot was really bad. Lot of rush hour traffic, in a sharp corner, with a hill. I pulled in behind him. Tossed the flasher in. I was shocked by the behavior of the traffic. Everyone moved over ( goes from a single lane to two lanes right there). I suspect they could see early on the upper marker light early and warned them. It was awesome. Worse spot to have a flat. Of course he had nothing to change the tire, so I had to come to his rescue with tools. He drives a VW eurovan, apparently it has metric lug nuts.
