RV Keys

Hello all,
I have two campers. A 2008 Jayco travel trailer, and a 2008 Lance 825 truck camper. They both have the same door handle/lock. I want to get them keyed the same so I don't have two identical keys on my key ring and having to guess which key fits the camper I'm currently using. Plus, I can get rid of one key, which is nice. Has anyone had their door key re-keyed? Where did you have it done?

Thanks,
Andrew

Are they Bauer? Your best bet would be to order a new lock. The number would be inside the locks.

Hi Grumpy. I'm not sure of the manufacturer of the lock. It has a stamp FIC on the lock. What do you mean, number on inside?

The actual key code on your locks will be on the inside of the handle/latch mechanism. You'll need to remove it from the door to see them. The code should be on a sicker inside.

The site Super55 mentions above will probably be able to supply keyed alike cylinders and keys for both, is they're from the same manufacturer. Another possibility is to have a certified locksmith change them out for you, but that'll be more expensive from the service call and labor involved. FIC is the brand of the handle assembly.

I just looked at the FIC website. One of my locks, maybe both, are part of a recall. Hmmm.
