RV trip planers
What does everyone use to plan their route. How do I know where I will be able to pull in for gas? How do I know where the rest stops are? How do I know where I can stop to eat and be able to park my rig?
Sorry if this has been asked before. I know these must be totally newbie questions.
TIA
Tino

I use Good Sam's trip planner for our long trips. It is a decent program and has a filter for Flying J and Pilot truck stops along your route which you get a discount for being a member. For destinations that takes more than a day to get too we will map how much longer we want to drive that day when we stop to eat dinner and find a campground in that area and call ahead to see if they have space and to get after hours check in. Don't stress and enjoy.

Next Exit.. Has an app.. also comes in a large book in print.
Having a smaller unit the only thing that concerns us is will we have to make a u turn if a logging road is shut down.

Plan?!?
Google maps to get within 10 miles. Phone call to venue for clues on the last couple of miles and landmarks.
Fuel for the rig and us? Watch the gauges and gauge the passengers. Signage on the highway + survey the crew.
Be prepared for Abort, Retry and Fail. Rinse and Repeat!

Just FYI, the last time I checked the membership was $27 and they gave you a $25 gift certificate to Camping World. Not sure if it's still offered.
Edit: Just checked and the gift certificate is only offered with a 2 or 3 year membership.

The next exit or the road up ahead if you like book style info or there are at least 20 cell phone apps for this. I really miss Microsoft Streets and trips.. it was a great planning tool.

Route Apps
I use both of these apps and am NOT compensated for this endorsement!
1. ALLSTAYS RV AND CAMPGROUNDS
This $10 app is the bomb! You can find RV parks, federal, state, local parks as well as Walmart etc. it is great info and up to date!
2. InRoute planner
This also costs a bit but provides more info than just using google maps etc

When?
This time of year you are limited to open campgrounds
I’ve made the trip so often I know it’s 18 hours from Madison CT to Atlanta
We do Harrisburg. Wytheville VA and Atlanta via 81 77 And 85
Works out to some 375 miles a day or so
The post I reply to has been deleted by its author. Never mind.

RV Trip Wizard works good for me. I can plan down to the fuel stops that I will be making.
