Sanicon tank flush

Hi All,
Our trailer has a sanicon pump. We haven’t had any problems with it and use all the time. We also have a black tank flush port. My question is; Does anyone have experience using the sanicon with the tank flush? The flush port has warning to only use it with the drain gate open.
Thanks
Joe Luebeck

You will want the macerator on to grind anything the tank flush shakes loose.

The warning on the black tank flush (to only use when drain is open) is to prevent someone from inadvertently overflowing their black tank up into the toilet causing a disgusting mess in the camper.

If you are attentive to it, there's no harm in using it with the drain closed. I do this every time we dump. My wife watches the level and tells me when it's getting close to full, then I pull the black tank drain handle. I do this a couple times and it makes for a nice, clean black tank.

At the end of our last outing I did this and I was still getting crud after the fourth time of filling then dumping. The water finally ran completely clear after the fifth fill and dump. I do have Vega Touch with Bluetooth so I can monitor the tanks from outside the coach.
