Satellite Ready?

I have a 2017 Jayco Jayflight 28BHBE. I noticed there is a port that says Satellite. Does this mean its Satellite ready to where I could just plug into the satellite port, hook up satellite box, turn tv on and start watching TV?

I don't know your rig, but our 2018 Eagle MLOC said the same thing and it was.

Installer took about 2 hours to hookup our two receiver DISH system.

How about calling Jayco or your dealer?

Not If you don't have a satellite dish or at a camp spot with cable. You should have a connection on the outside towards the rear marked cable. At a camp spot with cable insert coax cable there, if you have a satellite dish then attach your coax from satellite to that connection.

Simple difference in the connections. A cable input will go into the trailer and then split to possibly multiple wall ports/TV connections.

Satellite input requires a dedicated line from the outside to the reciever port inside the RV and has no splitters between. You only have satellite in the room where the one port/connection is.

As the others said, if you have an aimed dish connected to the SAT INPUT outside, and an activated receiver connected to the same SAT port inside, all should work fine.

I tried, but since I bought from private party, they could care less about helping me.
I reached out to Jayco directly. Will see what they say.

Thinking that if you have an exterior sattilite port, pretty sure you're wired.

Good luck!

Short answer is YES, but the previous owners could have altered the oem wiring. You can get a cheap devise on Amazon to trace coax wiring. It will confirm which connector inside is connected to the outside sat port. From there it just as simple as connecting that inside port to the input on the back of the receiver and then attach coax from the tvout to the tv. If the sat ant is properly aimed you should be good to go.
