Did this last month. Not hard at all. After getting the new seal kit, with all water off (of course), disconnect the water supply line from the toilet, take off the two nuts from the base attaching it to the floor and remove. The seal kit should come with an instruction sheet showing how to separate the bowl from the base. Ours had two bolts on the back side , a slight twist to unhook the tabs holding the bowl to the base. Lift off the bowl, and the seal is right there. Use some plumbers grease (90% silicone) on the surface the blade slides on, and reverse to install. Our kit came with a new seal at the floor, note how you take thing apart, and reinstall. I think it took about 30 minutes.
