seal on slideout

We are having trouble with the seal on our new 2015 Jayflight 28BHBE. While we are traveliing down the road, the seal gradually slides off of the slide. My husband has taped it for the time being and it has worked for a while. IT is starting to come off again. Is out best best to use a sealant on it?

IMHO, I'd take it back to the dealer, if its not too far away. If its too far, then wait and see what the experts on this forum have to say.
Happy RVing,
Jeff

That's what I've done in the past. A little dab of sealant in the track to hold it in place. Which specific seal are you having problems with? We have the same rig. Only one I've had problems with is the inner / top seal. BTW, welcome to the forum tmclaren.

It is the seals around the slideout. The one that touches the camper and slide when the slideout is in. We absolutely love this camper!

Is it the round one at the top? Mine has done this for 4 years. It slips out about 8 inches and goes out no farther, I have occupied my self for years trying to fix it. Crimps, sealant, etc. Now I just reach up and pull it back in place after ever trip.

I think the road shaking just lets it work itself loose. I even had the dealer look at when in warranty and they could not resolve it.

I agree with BigJohn. A little sealant on each end of the track it goes in, put it back in place and you should be good.

Guess I have luck, sometimes. Geocel Proflex sticks to everything, and everything sticks to it. I really don't see how mine could come out. Practically glued in. Only other thing is maybe a small short set screw.
