Sealant

I am getting ready to get the camper ready for this year and want to replace the caulk around the frames of the storage compartments.
Is there a specific brand or type that I should look into using?

thanks

OSI Quad seal is what the factory uses. Mennard's, Home Depot and Lowes carry it.

But be aware it does not apply easily so practice on something other than your rev first.

I've always used ProFlexRV an never had any issues with it. Easy to apply except if it's cooler out like in lower 40's but I heated up the tube a little with a hair dryer an it worked fine. Comes in white an clear

I use ISO Quad. It's not like regular caulk. It is super sticky stuff. If you want, nice clean lines, apply painter's tape where you don't want it.

Cut a very small tip, apply a very small amount. Using a very soapy water solution, use your finger, smooth it out. Apply more sealant as needed. It will stick to what you smoothed out.

I only apply it to spots where things are looking questionable. I do not reapply to large areas.

I am replacing the clearance lights with LEDs. Would QSI Quad Seal be good to use to caulk around the base of the light units?

+1

I have a child at home, so we have "magic bubbles" all over the place. Turned out to be a perfect solution here. Just dipped my finger in the magic bubbles and smoothed out the caulk perfectly. Wipe finger on rag, repeat.

It is indeed VERY sticky stuff.

That's what I did to shore up a questionable OEM seal on my front clearance lights. Also used the same stuff to seal up my gutters after I added extensions.
