Keep the old board and have it fixed. It is usual a bad capacitor or cracked board lint.

It seems like mobile techs can get things done faster, at least in my experience.

thanks!

Mobile techs are great, its their job to help you out with your problems, dealers book repairs months in advance. Don't blame dealers because they don't just jump right on your problem.

Are these Dinosaur Boards of universal fit with the Dometic/Atwood boards? I have gone to the Dinosaur site but am unable to find any information on what is compatible. After 4 boards going bad, I am ready to try one of the Dinosaur.

I have heard so much about failures of these boards. Does anyone have the details regarding the root cause of the failures (microprocessor, passive component, mechanical failure, etc.)? Beyond that why no recall? I would think at this point the manufacturer would have some idea the timeframe in which boards that have failed or are prone to failure were produced (unless it is a fundamental design flaw).

You can also examine the board, they will typically show a scotch mark where they shorted out.
