Secure chocks for single axle??
I have a single axle travel trailer (171BH). It is parked in our driveway, which has a pitch and then drops off pretty steep until the woods. We get a good wind coming thru the property, knocked over the portable basket ball hoop last night.
So I got to thinking, the trailer is a big box, covered in a giant cloth bag, catching a lot of wind. Whats to say the trailer wiggles a little in the wind, chock comes loose and the whole thing ends up crashing into the woods...
Bad image...
How can I secure the chocks ( standard yellow plastic kind right now)? I know 2 axle trailers can use those X wing looking devices.
Concrete parking block pinned to the driveway? Wife won't like that!

The Bal 28020 looks like it may work. Other single axle ideas there also:

Concrete blocks behind the wheels? or 2 1 foot long pieces of 4x4 post with a 2x4 crosspiece to hold in place?
40 years ago I had a whole popup (closed and parked in driveway) picked up and rolled onto a my car roof. But trees, roofs and misc. other stuff also got moved that time.

If mother nature decides to rearrange your driveway, she will, but in the meantime, this one is both chocks and leveler. Just another thought.

High wind and ice storm, my least favorite weather forecasts up here.

That's a pretty slick idea! I think that I would run a ratchet strap through the chocks instead though... no amount of wind will blow them loose.

The bal leveler is a great idea! I still have one from the old pop up, I tried to give it away to the neighbor with a pop up.
Now I'm glad he didn't take it . Sweet!
