Setting up both beds was a chore when the kids were young. Once they were big enough to do it themselves not so much. Maybe that influenced their decision to tent camp! We seldom had both teen sleeping in the TT. Deciding if bunks are a must have or a nicety is difficult.
The made out beds can restrict access in the RV. In a previous TT I cut a board shorter than the table so when the bed was made out we could still walk past it. In my current TT the hide a bed divides the kitchen from the master and bathroom, but I have front and rear entry doors to get around that. Something to consider.
