Oh geez....now that is scary. How long will it take for that to happen? I just checked and there is water in the holes. Not full to the top though. I wish my husband would take care of this stuff....ha ha ha

if it is above the plates and you can see them under water I would wait until charge is on green before you top it off

Don't fill to the top! Do like paintinfool said.
Just below the bottom of the "well" once it's charged.
If it were me I would take the charger off once the battery was charged. it should stay charged for months if there is no use. And the battery is still healthy.

It is a 12v if there are 6 holes
A 6v has 3

While searching the basement for safety goggles I came across a battery tender. Wish hubby told me we had one geez....anyway I decided to hook this one up instead because it is smaller and put it on the 2amp charge. How long should I expect it to take?

Great! Thank you. I hope it works and the battery is not dead forever.

Oh good.....it wasn't easy cranking up the jack manually to hook up to my TV. Especially when you have to crank it up so high for the weight bars. Ugh

lol well if you had hooked it to your tv and plugged in it should have given you power for your tongue jack

It didn't which I was surprised about. I did have my TV set up to charge the battery when the plug was installed too. Not sure why?

you would just have had to make sure your battery cableson camper weren't touching frame if battery was out of it

I was towing it from my house to a storage place and when I hooked up the tv the battery was dead. I had to manually raise the tongue jack to hook up. Once I got to my destination about 20 mins away the battery was still dead.

I don't know what you tow with but all the trailer plugs have one prong that should be 12v to the trailer to charge when your pulling and supply power to the tongue jack should your battery be dead ... you might check and make sure that has power when the tv is running.... you can do a you tube search on your vehicle for the charging part of your plug and where the fuses for that circuit are located

I tow with a 2001 Toyota Tundra. I had a 7way? Not sure the lingo.....ha ha installed last summer when I bought the trailer. I specifically asked them to hook it up so the battery would be charging. It was extra cost for that feature. Now I wonder if they even did it right?

good question ... I think there are some posts on here but it would probably be easier to look up 7 prong trailer wiring and look at which one should be hot when truck ignition is in the on position. Then using a 12 volt test light hook wire with alligator clip to ground on truck and touch probe end to that prong and see if it lights up

Is that something an auto parts store could check for me? I don't have one of those testers.

I am sure they could 12 volt test lights are cheap though and useful for checking a lot of things like lighting circuits and fuses but if you look the plug wiring up and print a pic I am sure they can check that for you. most are pretty nice with helping you any more they will loan tools and check things pretty regular. the guy came out from oreillys the other day and helped me change my wiper blades in the snow and I didn't ask him to lol
