Sewer Hose Length?

Finally found a dump station where my 10' sewer drain hose was too short. I had to do some tricky maneuvering to reach the drain. What length hose do you all carry for using at dump stations? Thanks.

X2. Rhino for most uses, “basic” one for extension if needed.

So general consensus is 2 hoses... Makes perfect sense. I n my defense though I must plead stupidity because I chose not to use a 15' RhinoFlex hose that I carry in my back bumper for use with FHU. Thanks.

Arn, get a 5' RhinoFlex extension hose to give you 20' total. Both will fit in the bumper.

I pack three 10' RhinoFlex hoses. I have only used two at any given time but like the idea of a spare. I have stretched the two before.

Please pardon my ignorance but what is a FHU site?

We regularly use 1-2, 10 ft. lengths of the Camco Revolution which typically sell for $15 each. We store four of these inside a standard 96" travel trailer bumper.

Although 1-2, 10 ft. lengths will usually suffice at most campgrounds, when you need more and don't have it--it's not fun. Same issue with power cables. Most of the time a 15-25 ft. power cable is fine. However, when you need more and it's 100 degrees outside---again, it's not fun.

I have a Sewer Solution (which I think is great) and carry 3 x 10’ drain sections. Most often just 1 section is needed and I’ve never needed all 3 in a CG. In storage I can reach the dump by using all 3 sections from my storage slot. The SS can pump 30’ easily. Very convenient when returning from a trip.

This is exactly what I do. I have 2 10' sections in my bumper and one brand new 10' section in a storage compartment just in case.

This is what we carry, and came close only once but used the full length of both and made it. Both fit into our under-bumper vinyl fence post storage, along w/ multiple lengths of vinyl gutter for keeping them off the ground and ease in sloping them appropriately.

2 ten foot hoses served us well in our class C, but with a 28 ft trailer we found it wasn't long enough if we tried to fit our trailer and truck in a pull through. Needed another 10ft length. So now 3 ten foot hoses.... Also picked up a 30 amp extension. Haven't needed it yet, but we will see.....

This last Spring Break while setting up the campsite, I actually ran into a situation where I thought I had plenty of length. I had to go buy another 10’ kit to add to the 20’ I already had. My TT has a rear hook up and the campsite’s sewer connection was up near the road at the front of the site. It’s also good to have a spare in the event one section cracks. Happened recently too.
