should this be caulked or sealed?

After bringing our 154BH home I noticed that this line wasn't caulked. I'm assuming that there's a lip on the molded tub that's underneath the trim, but... Thanks for any advice!

Your assumption is correct! No buts. Don't caulk it.

Our 195RB came the same way. I believe there is a lip on the top of the tub behind the trim pieces so we have not considered it to be an issue. The top of the trim pieces should be caulked. Ours was but others have reported that theirs was not. In your picture it looks like the top of the trim is caulked.

When we got our 26BH, I asked the dealer about that same issue. They said there is a lip on the other side that goes up to prevent water from going behind the tub. DO NOT DO ANY SEALING OR CAULKING THERE!

I would caulk the top and sides of the faucet.
