Shower door sweep

The rubber sweep on the bottom of my shower door in my 29RLDS is torn and leaking. How does it come off, Do I just slide it out or does something have to come off first? And where can i get a replacement?
Thank in advance for any help
Joe

I figured it out. I took the good one off the top of the door for now. I have to look for the correct one to replace it with.

Take part of the old one to any big box hardware store and they should have something there ..if not then go to your friendly neighbor hood RV dealer..

I had the same problem with the shower in my 27DSRL so I don't know if it is the same as yours. I replaced the bottom with the top but not long after it ripped also. The dealer replaced them both under warranty at the end of last season. They seem to be pretty flimsy. If the new ones don't last long either I figure I'll need to just get a box full of them. I am very disappointed in the shower design. I have been dealing with water leaking around the panels and underneath besides the sweep coming apart.

I agree that is a poor design. My shower leaked from day 1. I always try to dry the water as soon as I get out of the shower but now i noticed that the bottom of the sink cabinet is peeling. It looks like contact paper that Jayco just put over press wood. I thought Jayco was one of the best out there but I'm having second thoughts.

Went to Home Depot the only sweep they had was one that screws to the inside bottom of the door.
Went to my dealer and was bracing myself because I told them I wanted 2 of them, one for a spare, total cost was $1.86.
best deal in a long time, and now I have a spare

Those sweeps provided by Jayco and the dealer will. Last for maybe 10 showers. I had the same problem on a brand new unit. Talked with Jayco and their rep agreed they were for crap. He told me to go to Home depot and just get some good ones that I could either screw or tape to the door. I got some of those with the tape backing. Put one on over a year ago an it is still going strong and no more leaks. Cost me less than $4 if I remember correctly.

We had the same problem. Brand new from dealer the strip was ripping. They gave us a few. We did take the one off the top and put it on the bottom to get us by the first camping trip. DH was going to try the home depot "upgrade" when these replacements are trashed. If you could post a pic of the one you bought with the tape backing- that would be excellent.

Happy camping!

Issue is with shower door

Having the same issue with our shower. I tried to fix the first one by reinforcing the blade with silicon. It held for a bit longer but finally tore. What I noticed on my shower is the door is not square so that the aluminum shower door base contacts with the wiper blade and tears it off. I could not figure out a way to square up the shower door. I decided to just modify it with a different wipe but have not done it yet. I too would be interested in some pics of others mods.
