Shower floor

Any ideas to help eliminate or reduce the flex out of the shower stall floor? Feels like nothing below. Talking 2017 23RLSW. TIA

Take off the access panel and see if you can place a few 2x4s vertically underneath the area you feel the flexing. I cut 3 to size ( just a tad short) so I could put it in place with some liquid nail and then inserted a door shim underneath to tighten it up.

Jenny Craig?

Ok...just kidding.

Once you get access to that area, another alternative is to fill the void completely with Great Stuff foam.

On mine you will find that it’s used as a chase for electric, water, plumbing & heating so the foam could create a huge problem if I needed access. Also on my yearly inspections of plumbing fittings that might need a minor adjustment.

Just build it up with some lumber. If you span some 2X2s across the underside of the shower floor and then build some bracing it should really help. I would recommend securing any bracing to the trailer's laminate floor using silicone as an adhesive, as opposed to screwing into the floor and puncturing the linoleum. If there was ever a leak in your plumbing you don't want water getting down into the trailer's wooden floor, plus it's easy to remove if required.

I put in a couple of 2x4 pieces and the put styrofoam on the top of the wood. It has reduced the flex in the shower floor.
