Shower Pan question

Good evening all,

I am sure this has been asked before, but I have been unable to locate it on the forum.

I notice on the top of the shower pan, where it connects to the walls, there is a gap where water can leak out. Is it ok to put caulking along this gap to seal it, or is it left open intentionally?

Thank You

You need it for air circulation and the pan goes up enough on the sides that you don't have to worry about water from using the shower. But I would check the caulking around your sinks, bet they need it.

Tunce is spot on. It also allows for flex while in motion.
