Shur flo pump problem

I went up the our camper this weekend, which was the earliest ever for us here in Mn, anyways, I blew all the antifreeze out of the lines, so I doesn't foam at the faucet for ever, anyways, I filled the water and the pump would barely make a hum and I could hear water barely trickling into the hot water tank, I figure the pump is shot, so I took it out and brought it home, gonna see if they will warranty this, we haven't even had our 2014 Eagle RBTS 334 for a year yet, and it kind of sucked not having water the whole weekend as well.

Mine acts like that when it isn't getting water from the tank. Any chance you have ice between fw tank and pump, or perhaps a little ice in the pump?

I had the heat turned on 2 days before I got there, and the temps have been in the 70's already, the city water connection works fine too.

Mine does that from time to time as well.. a quick rap on it with a soft mallet gets it running right... NOT A HARD ONE DONT PUT YOUR SHOULDER INTO IT JUST A TAP near the head of the unit..

Those pumps are usually toughner nails. Mine only gives off a light hum when it looses its prime. Just another thought, when the system was filled with anti-freeze, mine has a on-off valve between the anti-freeze suction hose the fw tank, just above where the hose to fw tank enters the floor.

I brought the pump in today to our dealer, and it checked out fine,as he was giving me the pump back, another tech grabbed it from me and said he would be back in a minute, he came back with one in a box, and said here you go, he said he has had several of those pumps come back in the last year, he did say it has a good bullet proof reputation, but there must have been a bad batch.

Be good info to know how the new one preforms. "it checked out fine" would indicate no problem with the pump.

Make sure the filter housing didn't loosen off, sucking in air.

Angry

Well, I came up last night and put the new pump in, walla! it worked, so then I noticed that everything in the freezer was thawed, but the fridge looked like it was on, but wasn't cooling, so after monkeying around I tried to put it on gas mode, it fired right up, then I tried firing up the water heat on electric mode, and that wouldn't fire, only on gas mode, I checked all outlets with my meter and was getting full power in the camper, so then to really get me riled up at 4am, I woke up freezing, I kid you not it was 46 degrees inside, so I got up and turned the heat up and the furnace wouldn't kick on till I turned it up to 90, are these stats junk, is there a more accurate one, its either to hot or too cold, no happy medium with the Coleman Mach slide stat

DC Power Problem? Bad Pump Batch

I'm no expert on the needed power for the furnace/water heater/fridge but my understanding is they have to have the DC power to operate. You might have some bad or weak batteries (or connections) or maybe you should have your converter checked. It appears you might have an issue with your DC power. Also, I had a 2013 Whitehawk 28DSBH where the water pump died (while camping). Fortunately, it was under warranty. The dealer would not allow me to take the old one out and install the new one. They required me to take the trailer in and they performed the work because of warranty - no charge to me. I was able to take the trailer to them and get it back the next day. I've never had a problem with a water pump. It may be that water pump was one of those in the bad batch of water pumps? Good luck getting your unit up and functioning fully. I'm sure you will get it figured out.

Sounds like an issue with the DC side of the electric system.

x2. I once accidentally left mine on one spring when de-winterizing. 3 days later I went outside for something and heard a humming noise. The pump was running all that time. I filled the tank and nothing, it wouldn't pump. I thought it was shot. I called the dealer and they said let it needed to be reprimed, to sit for a while and try again. After the 3rd time it was fine.
