There are lots of differing opinions posted here on that particular grill. If I had a choice, I would have purchased something else. JMO.

I have this on my unit and do use it. My sidewall gets no hotter than on the sunny side. If your unit is under your awning I would not use it on the sidewall mount, but the table option due to your height from the flame. My awning is not over the grill so heat gets out without an issue. Cleaning is a chore and is a must on this unit due to it's design. The grease piles up on the bottom and will give you flare ups if you do not keep the base clean. I usually do it between every trip.

Upon it going down I will replace with a better design with the slide out tray base for easy cleaning. If I were to do it all over I would not have spent the money on this model.

I had an older SideKick that came with a 2004 TT. I never used it until my old portable propane grill bit the dust. This SideKick was not very good IMHO. It had very uneven heating and was really messy to clean the accumulated grease out of the bottom as the "grease catcher" never worked. And I would get grease spatters on the RV siding. Hopefully the new RVQ grills work much better!

This spring I purchased and retro-fitted a Weber Q 120 grill to run off of the low pressure LP quick connect system on my trailer. (Once it quits snowing in the Midwest, I'll be able to cook with it.) Reviews on the Weber Q grills are really good.

I'll echo the above opinions. It works but not all that well.

You know you pay good money for a Travel trailer and they supply you a cheap BBQ. It's almost an insult. I have never used ours and probably never will. I bring our Weber Q220 instead. The one that come with the trailer is like the $50.00 one I bought from Costco that I ended up giving away because of inconsistent heat
