Side wall A/C removal?

Has anyone pulled out their A/C unit? I don’t see any screws, it seems like the friction of the pinched power cord is holding it in. I’m afraid to reef on it, in case there is a screw hiding somewhere. Thoughts?

I would think the mounting screws/fasteners are behind the trim pieces. See if you can remove them carefully to expose them. Maybe just the top piece?

I believe you have to remove screws from side of shroud that go into ac and then pull the ac out of the shroud and then unscrew the shroud from the inside where the ac was.

At least that’s how they are mounted in homes.

Good idea. Maybe screws behind the front panel, then.

There is a vast amount of sealant on the outside. You will have to cut or remove this before it will slide.
