Sink Cover for Jayflight SLX 264bhw

The SLX line does not come with a sink cover included. I have been looking for a sink cover for some time because I really wanted one that was made to fit the sink, not the one size fits all type.

I wanted to share this info in case any other SLX owners with the 60/40 sink are looking for a sink cover......

I found some older threads on this forum where members had some success getting a sink cover from the sink manufacturer for around $50. I really was hoping to spend a little less, so I contacted my dealer.

for $14 my dealer was able to order from Jayco a one piece sink cover which is part #0243352

fit is perfect and color is an exact match.

Thanks! We've got the SLX 287BHSW. I'm going to check with my dealer to see if we can get the same one...

At a discount store I found al large cutting board, very cheap. It fits right across the sinks. When I need water it just slides to the side to allow access. this has worked well for me through 2 different RV's

Our sink is used almost constantly. The stove only intermittently. I can't imagine ever wanting to cover the sink, while covering the stove is a necessity for extra counter space.

One Home depot Handy Panel, 1 piece of "1 by" pine, one yard of vinyl upholstery from Joanne Fabrics and, viola, a handy custom made stove cover. Change the dimensions and make a sink cover just the same.

We picked a vinyl that complemented the counter top. Looks like it belongs there. The best part is that by measuring it closely, it sits there with no movement and looks custom made (which it was....LOL)

My 26 ft bunkhouse with no slides is a little short on counter space and when preparing meals for a family of four we need all the extra counter top we can get. We also have a stove cover, but still found we needed more space. Maybe it is just our cooking style but whatever the cause we were in need.

I like your solution for the stove cover, and when I thought my only other option was a $50 dollar buy I had considered cutting my own sink cover and staining it to match the cabinets then coating with polyurethane. I just think the $14 price is hard to beat even if I had made my own. Materials alone would run you close(over if you don't have poly on hand)_ and my time has it's value also.

They should have covers on he stove right from the factory IMHO. I bought one made by Camco that looks like it was made for the trailer. It's screwed down to the counter and folds out of the way when you need the stove https://www.amazon.com/Camco-43554-U.../dp/B000EDSSMA

Khans Keeper any chance you can snap a pic of the cover? This is something I'm currently looking into.

will have to check out that sink cover .... on the 212QBW, the sink is not 60 - 40 , it is 50 - 50. I did cover the stove .... i put in a glass stove top cover by Suburban. It is made for the slide in cook tops, but fit our stove top. Its a bi-fold tempered glass top, so you can flip the front glass panel and use the two front burners, or flip both panels to use the entire cooking surface. The black frame matches the stove nicely. Would post some pictures, but cannot get pictures on here at the moment, not sure why

I managed to get the 0243352 ordered in. I did it just on a whim to see if it would fit. It fits my 50/50 sink in my 2016 264bhw. I imagine it would fit any other slx. I highly recommend it. About $18 Canadian at my local dealer.

You could try https://www.jaycorvparts.com that part number isn’t listed there but they do have a phone number you can call. I haven’t dealt with them myself I usually just use the site to look things up.

I just ordered a 2 piece sink covers to fit my 27BHS 60/40 sink
I got it from my dealer, I think I paid around $23
Seems pretty thin and cheaply made as I haven't been able to use it yet but I can always use it as a template if I want to make a thicker one from wood!
I was surprised to see it came with "slits" so the water can drain through

I agree .... i remember when you used to be able to actually use these covers, now they are thin pieces of plastic that warp. I'm using mine for a template to make them out of a nice wood
