Slide / Electrical question

Noticed recently that when the slide is retracted and seats to the trailer side - the interior lights go out. Does anyone else have this happening? Seems like the slide motor should have a limit switch that would prevent stalling the retract motor and causing heavy load on the electrical system.

Sounds to me that when you retract the slide, the 12V wiring may be getting pinched somewhere and/or shorting out or causing one of the wiring connector plugs to unseat or separate a bit from - wiring harness bundle.... worth investigating the wiring into/from the slide out....
