(Slide) floor gap

Hi,

I have this gap between the slide floor and the main surface of the floor when the slide is in. Are you guys have the same gap? I am trying not to step on the slide floor with the slide in, but anyway, looks strange for me.

My trailer 28DSBH 2017.

Thanks!

Ours is the same way. We also try not to step on it when loading up.

My 2018 Jay Flight is the same and I don't like it.

What I did was trimmed a couple pool noodles for a snug fit underneath the slide's raised floor, running the full length. That way if I step on the slide's flooring when loading/unloading the TT I won't damage the "thin" plywood flooring.

My prior Eagle's slide floor had a much thicker flooring material and the gap was minimal....., never was an issue for 12 years.

I adjusted my slide and it now sits in the air when retracted. I made some blocks of 3/4 ply and stuck fabric on either side and hot glued a rope into a hole on the edge. I slide 3 of them under the slide when retracted to act as support because the recliners sit on the slide floor and will bounce going down the road without the blocks.

I put some rubber backed carpet pads under melamine panels I cut up (from HD). Also keeps the slide from scratching the floor.
