Slide off the floor??

When the slide comes in should it be off the floor? I don’t remember seeing it like that. Looks like about 2” of clearance.

I think most slides do this to a certain extent, mine does, the top hits the main body first then the slide mechanism pulls the bottom in snug, however 2 inches does seem a bit excessive.

Yes. Mine is more than 1" and could be 2", but I've never measured it.

Most through-the-frame slides do...., if you watch the slide as you close it the top of the slide will stop at the outer top wall seal first, then the bottom will follow creating the 1" - 2" rise.

With the slide opened, most folks don't realize that the interior depth at the slide floor is greater then at the slide ceiling. Looking at the slide end wall from outside you can see the difference..., about a 1 1/2" difference between top width and bottom width.
