Slide out

Just got done replacing the motor/transmission assembly for our slide room. The gear inside were stripped. Anybody else have this issue? My TT is only 2 years old and don't want to replace that every 2 years. That thing was $300.00! I can only imaging what a dealer would charge to install it. Good thing I am good with tools.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck. My 1995 Jayco fiver has a super slide. The only problem I had with it was a bad fuse and a loose wire connection. I bought it used, but it looks like it is the original equipment. I sure hope your problem was a one-time issue. Best of luck.

Thanks Rev. Like I said, it could have been worse-a dealer could have done it and charged me an arm and a leg. It only took me about 20 mins to replace it. I just can't get over the $300.00 for the part.

I'm just curious...would that have been covered by the 2yr warranty? Nice to hear it was a simple fix, however & good for you for jumping in and doing it..

It is possible that it would have been covered under warranty, but I am the second owner-warranty is non-transferrable.
