Slide out awning - install

I am getting ready to install the mounting brackets for my slide out awning - support arms and awning rail, on my 29RKS. The installation instructions are pretty straight forward, (Lippert Solera Slider awning), but, the install instructions are explicit in noting that - "All screws supporting the awning assembly MUST have a backer within the structure of the wall of the the unit."
It is also recommended that the awning rail be positioned "along the line where the roof and wall meet" Can anyone confirm that there is a "backer" in the corners of the slide out and along the roof line. My dealer did not return my call, asking him the same question. thanks

I just did mine on a new 24RBS.
I had no problem screwing into the corners of slide and into the TT wall below the roof.
Mine had a gutter above the slide with no topper. I went above it maybe another inch.
Be sure to use the Butyl tape behind everything.
