Slide out emergency

I own a Jayco 23RL. If the slide out is extended and there is a power failure or motor problem how can I get the slide out retrieved? Can it be cranked back in?

My previous camper had a gear that you could turn using a socket wrench. To my knowledge, my new camper does not have this and needs battery power to extend or retract.

I’ve been told that if you have someone hold the electric switch down, another person can slowly push the slideout back in. Again, I’ve not had to do this.

I'm not sure what year unit you have, nor what type of mechanism is used to actuate your slide....

I'd guess yours is the one with the gold colored bell on the slide end of the actuator... but that's only my guess.
