Slide out floor

I just recently noticed my slide floor on the outside was bare plywood. My old Jay Flight was wrapped in tight plastic or something like that so I just assumed this was the same. Is there anything I can spray or do for protection? I'm afraid over time it can weather, warp, and rot.
