Slide out issues

Hi all- Im new to this forum and new to owning a trailer. i have a 2004 jayco cove 38fbs. Its a beautiful trailer- but as a new owner I have questions about slide out leaking at the bottom of the room in corners- and need help!! I figured if Jayco owners are here they would have similar issues.

I also am a new one. I have a 07 29bhs and recently had the same issue. Now it did rain very hard and the wind was blowing from the slide out side of trailer. I noticed that the rubber seal, some parts folding in and some folded out. Next time we go I am going to put the slide half way out and then push the seal flap out from the inside, then put the slide all the way out. I hope this helps.

Buy some 3M tape. looks like the sandpaper stuff on the steps but it isn't that hard. It is grey. Stick to the slideout six or 8 inches from the outside edge. The seal rubber hits it and folds out nicely. Run it the height of your slide

3M tape trick sounds like a good idea. We went camping last week and sure enough it rained hard and high winds. This time I did push the rubber flap out and then took the slide all the way out and no leaks. The only bad thing that happened is we were out canoeing and didn't know there was going to be scattered storms, we left the awning out and the high winds separated the awning fabric on about a third of it. I used duct tape to fix it for now and the fabric stretched and it wont roll up evenly. time for new awning fabric. it could have been worse. live and learn.

greyhawk885, just wanted you to know that I did something similar to your idea. I used door seal for house and covered it with white duck tape. works great. thankyou for the idea.
