Slide-out Leak
Hey, everyone! We have a 2004 Jayco Featherlight 29Y. It has a single slide for the kitchen and couch. On the bottom of the slide, there is a black membrane that is wrapped and stapled along the edges, which I assume is to make it weatherproof. The problem is that along the front end of the slide, water is collecting inside the membrane, and it's dripping out where the wires for the slide motor pass through the bottom. This occurs every time it rains, and didn't do it until this spring. Slide out or slide in makes no difference.
I have been over the slide with a fine tooth comb and can't figure out where it's getting in at? Someone (likely the previous owner) laid a piece of Eternabond across the screws that run along the top edge of the slide, but it's in good condition, and that's not even exposed with the slide in.
There are two windows in the slide, and although I haven't pulled then out to see, the seals appear to be good and tight, and the water would still have to travel through the wall and across the floor three it four feet to make it to where it's dripping...
This one has me stumped! Any suggestions?
