Slide out- lube or not

Have a v-tech "in frame" elect slide by Lippert Components. Do I lube this slide or "just wash ice and mud off" per manual? What about the inner and outer seals ? Tks

Slide out- lube or not

Once or twice a year I wipe the seals and spray silicone on them. I back the slide out about 6 in. and wipe grime from the slide hole underneath with a cloth then spray silicone along the width of the slide. I wipe the slide arm bars underneath and spray them also.

I use a lot of spray silicone and buy the least expensive one from Walmart or stores like that.

Another thing to relieve strain on the slide motors is to have the door open when moving the slide to keep air moving. It makes a big difference on my rig.

I believe you are going to get several opinions on this...their will be some that say lube them and others that say don't. In my opinion you shouldn't I keep them clean all the time. I haven't had mine long but agree with the ppl that say if you spray them with anything it will attract dirt and dust and will cause you problems.
