Slide Out stabilizers?

Are these beneficial or just overkill, something else to spend my money on? If beneficial, please share which ones you use or recommend.

Not recommended by slide or RV manufacturers. Had units with slide outs since 1992 and never needed them.

We have tried them but as mentioned they are not recommended or needed and may create damage if RV settling occurs.

They are probably more commonly used and marketed to some of the bigger trailers that become more permanently positioned, braced, and serve as a full-time residence.

We have a set. They do really steady the unit, but I put them up after a use or two. I got spooked.

I did a short "study" on these after I purchased my trailer. I had people walk in the TT while I stood outside and watched the slide. Manufacturers don't recommend them and I watched the "proof" which is why I agree. If your TT is not stabilized, such as one of the stabilizers shifting (which will happen) then you are likely to get a bounce against the slide out stabilizers; which of course could bend the extenders.
