Slide out support jack's
Hi just looking for some pros or cons of using slideout support jacks.

I personally don't see a need for them. I also think that they could potentially "lift" the slide and cause damage.

Modern slideouts do not need them; Save your $$$ for something useful.

As I understand it, today's slides are designed to support themselves, and damage can be done if the trailer shifts and causes too much upward pressure from the jacks. Some manufacturers say clearly in their booklets NOT to use slide out jacks. If your trailer rocks, I would suggest using stabilizer jacks under the trailer frame to fix the problem. JMHO

I agree, slid out jacks on today's slides are not needed and could damage the slide out mechanisim if the trailer shifts, settles or if a tire goes low on air.

I have always heard not to used them because they could cause problems with the slide if the trailer settled lower

I once saw a TT for sale with the slide supported by jacks. It must of been set up like that for a while because it appeared the tires lost some air and the slide out looked bent up.

We bought a new 2013 Eagle 284BHS and with out researching, we bought the slide-out supports. To late to take them back, so we now use them under the TT frame, and they work great. I can walk around and not have DW complainin about the TT bouncing up and down. Just have to adjust them every few days.

You stand a great chance of doing more damage with those jacks than without... DONT USE THEM
