Slide out topper on a 25BHS

Has anyone installed a slide oout topper on the slide out on a Jayco 25bhs? If so have you had any problems with the topper or the slide out since you installed the topper?

No, but I'd be very interested in anybody's responses, because I'm looking at putting on on my 31 BHS!

Just in case you don't get many responses for your 25bhs, another member started another thread on this topic. Try clicking on Search above and select 'advanced', you can try "slide toppers" and/or "slide awnings". A lot of members shared the overall opinion or experience with theirs regarding different Jayco models. Sorry, don't have time right now to search for you

I had slide awnings installed last fall, mainly to keep the leaves off my slide outs. They also help cut down on the beating sun warming up the slide out as well help deflect some rain water minimizing water leaks.

The only real down side to a topper is that you get to listen to them when ever the wind is blowing. Some don't mind the noise and some do. I didn't get them because the wind blows a lot in the Az desert. Some nights people have had to retract their slides so they could sleep in peace.

Just stay away from the Carefree of Colorado ones... the topper is OK but the company is a real jerk to deal with...

Seann, it seems that your experience mirrors mine. Their products are ok but some of the installers leave a lot to be desired.
