Slide problems 24RKS Jayco
I just purchased a 2011 Jayco 24RKS travel trailer. I notice when the slide is retracted that the top of the slide on the outside is tilted out and not flush with the side of the trailer. Is there a adjustment or something to fix this? Any advice or help would be apprciated.

Yes there is a adjustment to it...
I pretty sure you got a power gear slide unit...
http://www.powergearus.com/navi/technical-documents
Go to the link and select your rig and then the manual will show you exactly how to deal with your issue...

Welcome to the Jayco Owners Forum JerryC! Bummer when you get a new tt and have some bigger issues arrise so quickly Are you close in proximity to a Jayco dealer? If you find it difficult to make the adjustment, it may be just as easy to have the dealer fix it under warranty

Have talked to the dealer and have a appointment, it's about a 30 mile trip.

Wise choice. That is why people buy new units.

Busted me...
I didn't even pay attention to the DOM (Date Of Manufacture)... But yes it wise to call on the warranty.

We have a similar problem with the two big slides on our 2011 Jayco. When extended the bottom dosen't go out as far as it should so the table and stove are not level. The rest of the tailer is level. Talking to the dealer today.

I noticed on my jayco the first time I operated the slide that the trailer needs to be level when operating. Makes the difference in the world. Believe that is mentioned in the owners manual. I made sure the trailer was level and Lo and Behold the slide closed perfectly.

Our trailer is level and I have run the slides in and out again and they are still not going out all the way on the bottom. The dealer repair man will be here some time the first week of Feb. It is strange how much slower things happen once they have your money in their pocket. Had I known it was going to be this long I would have called the credit union and had them hold the check until all was fixed. It seems that they are speedy, dilligent and on the ball until they are paid.

I'm on my second Jayco as well and never had any problems. Guess I'm lucky.

Absolutely. We wanted a travel trailer and this is the only one that had three slides and was a quality trailer.
