Slide(s) Kept In or Extended

What is the consensus of everyone here?
When you have your TT parked at home (not stored) do you leave your slide/slides drawn in or extended out?
And why do you do what you do concerning this?

I retract mine when not in use. Slide toppers can take a beating in a bad storm.

Mine are retracted because we store the trailer under a hoop house and there’s no room to pop them out.

Retracted. It's parked on one side of our double-wide driveway, and if it was extended, then DW couldn't get her car into the garage. If mama ain't happy...

I'm new to RV's and only had my 25BH for 1-2 months, but I keep mine extended since it makes a good man cave while parked in the driveway. Me and the grandson's sometimes sleep in it on weekends too.

Wife wants the slide extended, but owners manual says retracted. It stays retracted, but I have it set up level so she can extend it when needed.

Mine is also under a "Hoop" shed, I like that term. It's wide enough that I can open or close them.
I generally leave them open for the same reasons mentioned. I am in there a lot piddling and it's a quiet place.

The only time we close slides is if there is a blowing rain or high wind. My pad is level and paved so they are retracted before hooking up.

I keep mine retracted except when in actual use. Too much opportunity for someone to hit it, birds or animals to pick at the seals. Of course, if indoors, I wouldn't care.

Extended during the summer because it has full hookup, cable and wifi.

If mine were at my house, extended. But, since it's at a storage lot...closed.

X2 with bdreinv. UV rays are not so good on seals.

extended, retracted, well Ok both. Sits along side the house, mostly shade when working on it or using it it is extended, but also retracted when it is not being used. so roughly 50/50.
