Slide tore up flooring

While extending the slide on our new 25 RKS, something on the bottom of the slide grabbed and cut the flooring, next to the kitchen end. The flooring peeled back like a bananna, about 10-12". Also grabbed the skirting / carpet. Trailer was taken back to the dealer on our way home for inspection.

The dealer couldn't find anything wrong, couldn't find anything protruding that would do the damage.

The fix is rather drastic in my opinion, in order to repair the floor, all the 'furniture' must be removed in order to replace the flooring.

I don't really want to dismantle the trailer to fix the flooring. That could lead to more problems than I want to think about.

The flooring was not glued down. I don't know if the factory glues the flooring on this model, but in watching the You Tube video of how the trailers are made, I thought there was a guy that was spreading something on the deck prior to the flooring being installed. Point being that if it was glued , I may just have scratches, rather than torn up flooring.

Has anyone else on the forum encountered anything like this ??

I plan on calling customer service Monday to see if there is a better direction than the one the dealer proposed.

We have a small spot on our floor that has been rubbed by the slide. Just one of the MANY issues our new trailer has had. I just bet Jayco will be happy when the warranty expires on this pos.

Thursday I picked up a new 2012 29RLDS and noticed that there is something about the size of a dime under the flooring right in front of the refrig. Looks like there was something on the floor when they laid it down. Not a big deal now but worried about over the years the flooring tearing around the object. I'm taking it back tp the dealer today. Let us know how yours turns out.

We have a small unglued area under the sheet vinyl in the bathroom, which also feels like it has a small piece of debris in there. We bought a bathroom rug to temporarily throw down so we hopefully don't make it any worse before bringing it in to the dealer for evaluation after our next couple of camping trips.
