Slide Travel

We have the Jayco Feather Micro 166FBS which has a slide in the sofa area. I am new to slides and am slightly concerned at what I am seeing. (More OCD than anything.)

When the slide is extended, the bottom will travel over an inch farther than the top. Viewing from the outside, it is quite noticeable that the slide is not square to the trailer.

The top and sides (on the inside) have a piece of trim that goes flush to the wall when the slide is extended. I would assume that the extra slide travel at the bottom puts stress on that trim and will eventually break it free. I have been stopping it short of the slide stop to prevent the over-travel.

My question is - is this extra bottom travel part of the design, or should it be adjusted to stop at the proper point? The slide stop is easily accessible but I don't want to change it if it is supposed to travel that far.

Thanks for any insight you can provide!

Sounds like normal operation to me. The top normally hits first.
