Slider gap

We purchased a new 2021 jay feather 24bh a month ago and getting ready to take it out for the first time. We have extended the slider a few times to clean and show it to friends. Noticed today while the slider was closed that the front side of the slider has a 3/8 inch gap, the other side is fine. Anyone know if this is normal or how we can get it to sit flush like the other side. Thanks

Under the slide there is what looks like a bell. Had the same problem. The Bell that is on its side unscrewed itself. so when the slide is open turn the Bell so that it goes to the outside of the slide. Keep doing that until you get the slide to where you want it.

My husband looked underneath the slide today but unfortunately that must not be our problem as the “bell” was not loose. Hopefully the slide will be ok to take out this weekend for it’s maiden voyage. Thank you for your help.

On my '21 Eagle 357MDOK two of my four slides were not closing properly either. I didn't notice until we had it home for a couple weeks. It's currently at the dealer getting fixed right now. With it being brand new, I was not about to fix it myself. I also had a bulb seal on one of my slides that was too short also. That is being replaced too.

Thank you so much. When we get back from our camping trip I think we’ll make an appointment for it. Do you think it will be ok to take it out? It’s been raining here but it doesn’t seem to leak.

Teri loosen up the nut that is locking the bell in place. Then take the bell and turn it towards the outside of the slide and close the slide. keep doing this until the slide is where you want it.

IMO based on the information provided you should be fine..., and I agree having your dealership 'dial-in' your slide gap adjustment upon your return.

For future reference the following Lippert OEM Installation Manual may provide a little insight into your "Electric" Through-Frame slide, assuming this model is similar to your 24BH slide.
