Sliding door rail came off

I have a Whitehawk 27dsrl and the rail that holds up my siding door came off during transient. My bad I most likely did not lock door in place and door must have swing around.

My question is now the screw holes are stripped out and need to be replaced with bigger screws. How long can I get away without poking out of the rooftop? Any recomedations?

Fill the existing holes with wood glue and either toothpicks or small wooden dowels.

Let it dry overnight trim it flush and drill small pilot holes for your existing screws.
