Slow Shower Drain

We have a 2002 Jayco Eagle 266 that is parked year round at a resort and has not moved in the last six years. The shower drains quite slowly and collects some water in the tub when in use. As I am not familiar with the plumbing, I wanted to know what could be done to speed it up. I have cleaned the drain hole itself and made sure there were no obstructions such as hair. Does it drain directly to the grey water tank or is there a P-trap? If there is a P-trap, would using a plunger possibly damage any connections? Can you use a little of something like Liquid Plumber? Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

Hair is the usual suspect for slow shower drains. There are various, inexpensive clog removing tools that you poke down into the P-trap to pull out the hair etc. Look online for clog removal tools and you'll find many of them. You should find them at discount stores and in 'dollar stores', too.

It could also be that your vent is plugged on the roof with debris and/or mold! If your parked and not moved there is a better chance of the roof having crud up there to slow the release of air. Go up and check that out.
