Soft Floor

I have a 2014 Jayco White Hawk Ultra Lite Summit Edition. The floor is vacuum bonded laminated. It has developed a soft spot in it. Has anyone ever had this problem? What's causing this and what can be done to repair it?

There's no easy fix to your problem. Yes their are several temp fixes. But in the long run it's called the nature of the beast. I too suffered through the "Soft floor", until after several temp fixes TRADED (floated a bamboo floor)! If you can find the "Honest dealer", he will explain the vacuumed, marine board, sandwiched floor is taking the market by storm. Believing the norm is the two week camper, or weekend warrior, will only use there unit to a minimum. Our family is of the larger size and require tonged and groove floor. Your ultra light does not have the substructure to provide a solid walk/bounce, hence we moved up to the "Residential" style unit.

Lots of posts and threads here on this issue, and some fixes. I believe in 2016 Whitehawk went to a plywood floor.

Had the same exact issue in my 2013 whitehawk. Actually started to happen while it was still under warranty. Told the dealer about it, and they asked jayco about it. Jayco said this is normal as lightweights have to flex. The dealer told me they could either float a floor over top or we could just keep an eye on it since it was reported in the warranty period they would cover it if it got worse. I decided to just keep an eye on it. Did it get worse, a little but it really was unnoticeable to anyone except my family who knew it was there. Sold that whitehawk in 2017 and bought a Jay flight.
