Softstart

Has anyone purchased a Softstart from a company called Lalhamrah?

Is it for real or a cheap knock off?

Never heard of the manufacture you mentioned....., maybe another member will chime in familiar with the brand.

I installed a Micro-Air EasyStart in my A/C.

I bought a SUPCO after doing a ton of research. It was less than $20.00 - Had lots a positive comments and reviews across a wide variety of forums. Was also recommended by my local HVAC guy...

Is the soft start actually called a hard start? When I search for a soft start, it shows hard start capacitors. I am following this thread and considering one for my 13.5k a/c unit. Thanks!

Yes it is a hard start capacitor. Soft Start I believe is a brand name of a system. I just did a hard start capacitor in my 13,500 AC. Just wanted to make it a bit easier on my generator.

The $20 Supco works just as well for me as a $350 unit. I've bought dozens of them since they came out, probably in the 70's.

It just makes some guys feel so good to buy an expensive device, that does the same thing.

You obviously have no clue what the Micro Air Easy Start does. It's basically a VFD.

I don't need the expensive parts... my cheap Supco starts my compressor with ease every time. But, enjoy yours.

What was the part number for your SUPCO? They sell a lot of capacitors.

Thanks
