Sound system replacement

We have a 2008 24RKS and I would like to replace the radio/cd player.

Do you have any recommendations on a 12 volt system that includes am/fm and USB?

Also have you installed outside speakers and/or speaker jacks that can be plugged in when you're parked so you don't have to worry about weatherproofing permanently mounted speakers.

TIA

I just added an amp and all new speakers inside and out, made a huge difference, without remodeling the stereo box.

What kind and how did you mount the outside speakers?

I used a alpine 4 channel amp, 2 channels to outside speakers and 2 channels for the TV inside, polk audio db series speakers for all 6 inside and I can't remember the outside speaker brand, but I had to modify the holes for outside speakers and they all sound awesome.

There are lots of automotive head units that would fit your needs. Give Crutchfield a call on what they might recommend in your situation. In particular a mounting kit that will work for your opening.

For out side speakers use Bluetooth speakers. No wires, seconds to setup.

I just looked and the outside speakers are poly planer MA-905 and there are only 1" deep, I pulled the round junk speakers out and used a Drexel tool to open it up to what I needed, 1" was tight, but they look way better than stock and I just caulked around them to keep water out, the speakers are marine grade
