I never did last year. Found out bits and pieces before we took delivery and found out more once we received and after they put new year models on website.

My dealer told me 8-10 weeks at the outside....Hmmm.
We ordered 1/30/2016, Jayco got the order on 2/1/16. Build date apparently is 4/18 with a week transit to the west coast. By my figuring that's 12 weeks at best. Hoping that we don't come up with a long list after the PDI. Our first trip is the end of May though so we should be ok. I hope!

My dealer was able to show me pictures of the changes for 2017 for the Jay Flight but no literature. For my model there were no changes to the floor plan, just some décor changes, which were fine with me. Personally I like most of the changes they made.
Speaking specifically about the Jay Flight, the biggest change is they eliminated the "Elite Package". Some of the options that were in that package now come standard while others will be offered as standalone options. Elite seemed to be a good value so that might affect bottom line number. Then again some people might like that because they can pick what they want.

Ally39...what model did you order? Do you know what becomes standard and what is optional from the Elite package?

I placed my order for Jay Flight 28RBDS on Thursday evening.

What I was told verbally (so I can't guarantee it's 100% accurate)..... standard features for 2017 that used to be part of the Elite Package will be the large assist grab handle, 80 gallon fresh water capacity, faucet with pull out sprayer, and mission style maple cabinets (no more raised panel option). They will also be having all stainless steel appliances.

The digital remote, rear ladder, and kitchen skylight are now options and they are no longer offering the Mor/Ryde suspension.

It really surprises me that dealers are not given better notice and more information regarding the changes for the next model year. It seems like a lot of them are left in the dark. We had negotiated a price based on 2016 and then suddenly it was all different pricing for 2017. My dealer honored the price he had verbally quoted me but I just don't understand why there isn't advance notice of the changeover.

Thanks for the info. We'll have to talk to the dealer to find out for sure...I must have the roof ladder and prefer the Mor/Ryde suspension!

LiftedAWD pls keep us posted.

PR Travelers, that's was quick from order to delivery. Hoping we get that lucky...

As others have noted, it all depends on when the factory run for your TT is.

Our "original" WH was a 2014 model and took about 12 weeks from order to arrive at the dealer. It was so badly damaged when it arrived that the dealer refused delivery and promptly ordered us another unit. The new unit, a 2015, arrived within a month.

Thankful we didn't have the same issues with the Eagle, and it took about 9 weeks from order to delivery.

My wife talked to the salesman today and did confirm no Elite package and no Mor/Ryde suspension. He did verify we get stainless appliances, large entry grab handle, sprayer on faucet, 2 fresh water tanks and a larger bathroom outside entry door as standard items. Optional added for us are roof ladder, skylight in kitchen and remote control. We ordered it with the Coffee interior but are getting Canyon on the '17. Supposed to be similar. Still bummed about the Mor/Ryde suspension though.

Special ordering time to delivery

Ok just to follow up on my own question...

We ordered a 2017 28BHBE and the order was placed/finalized on 4/5. We were told 10-12 weeks. It was built on 5/12. So 5 weeks, 2 days from order until built.

We were told another week or two for it to be at the dealer. We shall see... I will post up once we pick it up.

That's about how it went for us exactly last year. Ordered 4/1, 4-5 weeks before built, arrived at dealer here on West Coast early July.

Southco,
I also ordered a 28 bhbe on 03/28/16, which resulted in a 2017 build. Could you please post some photos of the interior and exterior? Im curious to see what the 2017 looks like. I ordered our camper interior color as cashew, but that was changed to tumbleweed. I also ordered the elite package and there was changes to that as well. Were super excited with our new camper. Finally, how did you know when the trailer was built? Is there a way to check online or is it through your dealership.
Thank you.

I believe when we ordered we wanted coffee cloth ( I don't like the fake leather) and that was changed to canyon. Whenever we take delivery I will post up pics but you may have yours around the same time. They build models in batches from what I understand. I reached out to my sales lady this past Friday to find out it had been built. Your dealer should be able to check for you.

March 26 we went to the dealership to look around. They had already sold the one on the lot we liked, 32TSBH, but had already ordered another one to replace it back on March 7. Still waiting for it to come in (as a 2017). Hopefully it comes before Memorial Day as originally mentioned.

We placed our order on for a 26' JayFeather on 3/15/16. Exactly 2 months later it was in California (I just got the call today). I actually think it was there last week; I saw the same coach with the same options for sale on their website.
