Special ordering time to delivery

For anyone who has ordered a trailer recently what turn around time frame have you been given? Have interested parties in our current trailer but I haven't found what I'm looking for on lots. We just finished our first trip and the next isn't until the beginning of June. Worried that even if I special order what I want within the next two weeks it won't be ready by the beginning of June. And would ordering from a dealer in Indiana near the factory cut down on time? Thanks for any info....

Most dealers will tell you 8 to 12 weeks. I find these estimates conservative. Mine was ready in 5 weeks. But, it depends on the cycle of production. They will make 5rs, then TTs. It also revolves around what models. So, it is just the luck of when your order goes in and what cycle they currently in.

I picked mine up in Middlebury and took the factory tour while I was there.

SouthCo,

Our dealer ordered our new Eagle 5er on December 8th and it arrived at the dealer on March 14th. That's 14 weeks but we had 2 holidays in that period.
The bad news is I did a preliminary PDI and generated a list of items that need to be addressed which requires ordering new parts. This will add another 3 weeks.
You also maybe up against another timing issue with the switch to the 2017 line up. IMO ordering from a dealer close to the factory may cut the delivery time some but it won't expedite your order.

We ordered an Eagle HT in early January and it's scheduled to come off the line tomorrow (March 28) but not news as to when a delivery driver will be available - so we don't know yet when it will arrive in January.

The dealer said that the factory had just finished a run of Eagle HT's in late December and we were first in a new batch run startin in late March.

So I agree with Fairenatic - you can't generalize, there are too many variables.

We ordered ours April 1st last year and received 13 weeks later in July. It was right when they were switching to the new model year. We did have to wait a while after ordering before it was on the line. It also took 1-2 weeks to receive it in CA after it was finished.

X2 on everything said. Ordered our 23RLSW the end of Dec. and still waiting. It's suppose to be in production now so we are hoping delivery will be by the middle of April.

I wouldn't wait very long if that's the route you want to go. If possible find out from Jayco what the production schedule is for the model you want to get.

I would think spring starts the busy cycle for buying and even possibly more delays.

I couldn't find a existing unit with the options I wanted so that's the reason I special ordered.

We ordered a Jayflight 28bhbe in mid February. The dealer recently contacted me to say it would be coming off the line the week of April 11th.

Nice Logan! We are on a similar schedule. Ordered February 19 and last week was told it was being built this week or next. Are you picking up from Tampa RV?

We ordered our 23BHM January 8 and it's "supposed" to arrive at the dealer on April 5. Our dealer hasn't called us once yet to let us know though. This info was garnered by called Jayco direct.

Add 2 weeks to get a driver scheduled to bring it to Tampa.

Ours took 2 weeks to the day to get from Indiana to Minnesota. That was 3/14/16. I went and looked at it on 3/19 and generated a list of things needed to be replaced / fixed. We now have a close date of 4/7 with the potential of not all items being fixed due to 2 week parts delay.

I suggest you don't plan any outings too close to when you think you will bring it home, it could be longer and you have the best chance of getting cosmetic details touched up and replaced before closing the deal. For example one of the plastic fenders looks like it was rubbed up against something and was all scratched up. I asked them to replace it. I'm not so sure they would have replaced it if I had already taken delivery and closed the deal.

Ordered ours November 9th.. It arrived at the dealership on January 21st.
10.5 weeks. I do not think the estimates are conservative. In fact, the 8-12 weeks seems pretty accurate from what most folks have been saying here. Sure, some will get it faster than 8 weeks and some beyond the 12 weeks. The build cycle is the most determining factor. I suspect the time of year also has an impact. They're slammed right now as all the RV shows wrap up and the orders poured in. I don't think Jayco will tell you when the next build it for your particular model. They don't want to be nailed down to a specific date.

It took a week for my trailer to arrive in Massachusetts from Indiana by the time they assigned a driver. I would think delivery to Maryland would be about the same timeframe. If you pick it up in Indiana, I think you'll save time on delivery. Have you checked a little farther out from Maryland to see if anyone has what you want?

We live near Middlebury and our dealer is next door to the factory. Ordered a 24RBS on Jan 19 and it was completed on Mar 15. Our PDI is April 13 just in time for warm weather.

Placed an order yesterday for a 2017 model and was told mid to late May. However based on these discussions I'll prepare myself for a June arrival. Then if I get it sooner I'll be pleasantly surprised!

If I were a dealer I'd definitely quote to the higher side. Better to do that and then when it arrives "early" both the dealer and manufacturer look good :-)

We ordered our White Hawk 29reks mid February and recently got a build date of April 18th...

For those that just ordered 2017 models, did you get any literature? Or any verbal info on what's new?
