Squeaky Floor

I have a new 2015 trailer and there is one spot in the floor that never fails to squeak when I walk over it. My wife used to work at an RV dealership and she that was not uncommon. Still, I was wondering is this just something most people just live with, or have you brought this up as a warranty issue? I don't want my flooring yanked up just to pop a new screw in the floor.

We had a squeak in the floor of our 197 when we sold it. It's not a huge issue. It may even go away after some time. Remember, your towing a trailer that flexes. I would see how it is after a year of use then go from there.

They seem to come and go in my floor, not always occurring in the same place. The flexing of the trailer going down the road can create, and in some instances remove a squeak in the floor. Never really bothered me.....

Not uncommon, but since it's a new TT I would have the dealer take a look at it and provide you with a document of his findings......., just in case.

what I was told

Called jayco about another thing and asked about my squeeky spot. Was told that flooring was tongue and groove and sometimes will squeek. They said they would authorize one try at a warranty repair. Since it isn't structural I am not going to worry about it.
